Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi
Upon arrival, transfer to your 5-star hotel in Tbilisi. Take time to settle in, unwind, and enjoy a relaxing evening in preparation for an exciting journey ahead.
Day 2: Discover Mtskheta and Tbilisi
After breakfast, embark on a journey to Mtskheta, one of Georgia’s oldest towns and its spiritual heart. Once the capital of the ancient Georgian Kingdom of Iberia, Mtskheta is rich with historical significance. Visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, revered as the burial site of Christ’s robe and one of Georgia’s most cherished churches. This UNESCO-listed landmark offers insight into Georgia’s deep-rooted religious heritage.
Return to Tbilisi for a captivating city tour. Start at the Metekhi Church, where the statue of Tbilisi’s legendary founder, Vakhtang Gorgasali, stands proudly. Take a scenic cable car ride to Narikala Fortress and enjoy panoramic views over Tbilisi. From there, walk down to the historic Sulphur Bath District, passing by Tbilisi’s only mosque, and explore the charming Sharden area with its narrow streets, cozy cafés, wine bars, and artisanal shops. Conclude with visits to the Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica, and the enchanting Clock Tower at the Rezo Gabriadze Theatre.

Day 3: Journey through the Wine Region of Kakheti
Today, venture into the lush Kakheti region, Georgia’s premier wine country. The scenic drive over Gombori Pass sets the tone for an unforgettable day. Begin at the ancient Ikalto Academy, a renowned center of learning and alma mater to the celebrated Georgian poet, Shota Rustaveli. Continue to Alaverdi Cathedral, an 11th-century marvel and the second-tallest cathedral in Georgia, showcasing medieval Georgian architecture at its finest.
Next, visit a family-owned winery, where you’ll learn about traditional qvevri winemaking and sample exquisite local wines. Later, explore Tsinandali Estate, once home to the Georgian nobility. Stroll through its English-style garden, tour the historic wine cellar, and immerse yourself in the legacy of Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, a 19th-century poet and public figure.

Day 4: High Mountain Adventures – Jvari, Ananuri & Kazbegi
Start the day with a visit to the Jvari Monastery, a 6th-century religious and architectural masterpiece with stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. Continue to the Ananuri Fortress Complex, a former stronghold of the Argveti Dukes set against the spectacular Jinvali Reservoir.
As we journey through the Cross Pass, pause at the People’s Friendship Arch, offering breathtaking views over the Caucasus Mountains. Arriving in Kazbegi, take in the scenic wonder of Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, perched at an elevation of 2,170 meters. The church’s panoramic views of Mount Kazbegi create a truly awe-inspiring experience.
Afterward, return to Tbilisi for an evening airport transfer, concluding an unforgettable Georgian adventure.
