Thursday, April 3 - Arrival and Immersion in Tradition
Our journey begins when we land in Bari and make our way to the enchanting city of Matera, famous for its ancient cave dwellings and rich history. After a guided exploration of the city's unique architecture, we'll enjoy a leisurely lunch, savoring the region's flavors. In the afternoon, we'll dive straight into the essence of Apulian cuisine with a hands-on cooking class led by a local chef. We'll learn the secrets of creating traditional dishes, then feast on our creations. We'll call it an early night to get an abundance of rest for the rest of our weekend.
Friday, April 4 - Coastal Delights and Local Wines
The morning begins with a scenic drive to the coast, where we will embark on a private boat tour to discover the stunning caves of Polignano a Mare. Feel the sea breeze and marvel at the beauty of Puglia’s coastline.
After a coastal-inspired lunch, we will immerse ourselves in the world of Puglian wines at a historic masseria. Taste a variety of wines and learn about the traditions behind their production. We'll end the day with a leisurely dinner, reflecting on the day’s experiences.
Saturday, April 5 - Iconic Villages and Street Food
We'll start our day with a visit to Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its charming trulli houses. Stroll through this picturesque village, soaking in its unique architecture and atmosphere.
After a delicious lunch, we'll head back to Monopoli for a guided street food tour. Wander through lively streets, tasting local specialties and experiencing the vibrant food culture firsthand.
Sunday, April 6 - Pasta and Farewell
On our final morning, we'll return to Bari for a culinary adventure in the city’s bustling streets. Participate in a pasta-making experience and enjoy a tasting of the region’s famous Assassina Pasta, a fiery specialty that perfectly captures Puglia’s bold flavors.
As the trip concludes, we’ll leave with a full heart, new friendships, and unforgettable memories of Puglia’s food, culture, and landscapes.
